08:23 AM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Paramount Global ( PARAA ) has struck a five-year deal valued at $1.5 billion for the global streaming rights to "South Park," The Los Angeles Times reported, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The deal with creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone through their Park County production company brings the series to Paramount+ in the US for the first time, according to the report.
The deal values the global streaming rights at $300 million a year, the newspaper reported, citing two of the people close to the agreement.
Due to an arrangement dating from 2007, Park County is entitled to nearly half of the show's streaming revenue through a joint venture with Paramount called South Park Digital Studios, according to the report.
Paramount Global ( PARAA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
