12:01 PM EDT, 08/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- PayPal ( PYPL ) is working with local banks to fix any remaining issues after a major outage disrupted payments in Germany, Reuters reported Friday, citing a company spokesperson.
The company reportedly confirmed the problem had been resolved and apologized for the inconvenience.
PayPal ( PYPL ) is cooperating with its banking partners to clear up any account issues and would reimburse all valid merchant transactions, Reuters reported.
Earlier in the week, Sueddeutsche Zeitung reported that German banks had blocked 10 billion euros ($11.71 billion) in payments over fraud concerns linked to PayPal's ( PYPL ) security filters, according to Reuters.
PayPal ( PYPL ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
