Market Chatter: Peloton, Bath & Body Works, Saks, Express Struggle With Delayed Vendor Payments
Apr 4, 2024 8:41 AM

11:16 AM EDT, 04/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Peloton Interactive ( PTON ) , Bath & Body Works ( BBWI ) , Saks and Express (EXPR) are among the retailers who often failed to make payments on time to vendors in the past few months, CNBC reported Thursday, citing data from business intelligence platform Creditsafe.

Their bill payments were delayed in some instances, according to the report. While payment data is only one factor that Creditsafe evaluates when assessing a company's financial health, "analysis has proven that it is hugely predictive of a company's financial health and creditworthiness," Creditsafe spokesperson Ragini Bhalla told CNBC.

Peloton, Bath and Body Works ( BBWI ), Saks and Express did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
