Market Chatter: PepsiCo Hedging Commodities to Offset Geopolitical, Cost Pressures
Mar 23, 2026 3:00 AM

05:34 AM EDT, 03/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- PepsiCo ( PEP ) is sourcing 95% of ingredients locally in a bid to offset headwinds from ongoing geopolitical tensions and cost pressures, Bloomberg News reported Sunday, citing Asia Pacific Chief Executive Anne Tse.

The food and beverage giant has also implemented a hedging strategy for various commodities, Tse reportedly said. The company is working closely with local growers, especially for potatoes, making it "very resilient" with upstream supply, Bloomberg reported, citing Tse.
