12:40 PM EDT, 08/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Petroleo Brasileiro, (PBR), better known as Petrobras, is looking for shale gas deals in Argentina as part of an overall effort to increase fuel supplies to spur industrial growth, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Petrobras is looking to acquire a stake in assets belonging to Tecpetrol SA, a unit of Techint Group, among others, the people reportedly told Bloomberg.

Neither Petrobras nor Techint Group immediately replied to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
