Market Chatter: Petrobras to Raise Gasoline Prices for Distributors by 7% Starting Tuesday

02:54 PM EDT, 07/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Petrobras (PBR) will increase gasoline prices by around 7% for distributors starting Tuesday, Reuters reported Monday, citing a company statement.

Gasoline price will increase by 0.20 reais ($0.037) per liter to an average of 3.01 reais per liter, Reuters reported. Liquefied petroleum gas prices will reportedly rise by 3.10 reais to 34.70 reais per 13-kg cylinder.

Petrobras did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.

Petrobras shares rose 2% in recent trading.
