Market Chatter: Preliminary Report on Fatal Boeing Crash in June Raises Additional Questions, Says Air India CEO
Jul 14, 2025 3:35 AM

06:16 AM EDT, 07/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Air India Chief Executive Campbell Wilson said a preliminary report on the fatal crash of a Boeing ( BA ) Dreamliner in June "opened additional questions," indicating that the probe is far from over, Reuters reported Monday, citing an internal Air India memo.

"The preliminary report identified no cause nor made any recommendations, so I urge everyone to avoid drawing premature conclusions as the investigation is far from over," Wilson said in the memo, according to Reuters.

The news outlet also said the preliminary report from India's Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau did not find mechanical or maintenance faults with the aircraft.

Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
