12:24 PM EDT, 06/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Reddit ( RDDT ) is considering implementing World ID, a system that verifies users on its platform are real individuals while still providing anonymity, Semafor reported Thursday, citing two people familiar with the matter.

World ID, a product developed by Tools for Humanity, verifies identities using the iris-scanning Orb biometric device, according to the report.

Reddit ( RDDT ) and Tools for Humanity did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
