02:15 PM EDT, 03/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The federal government will create a new "Canadian Renters' Bill of Rights," which would require landlords to disclose their properties' rental price history to prospective tenants, according to a report Wednesday on CTVNews.ca.
The report noted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made the announcement Wednesday in Vancouver, saying the bill is one of three new measures that will be included in the upcoming federal budget. It said the budget will also include a push for rental payments to affect credit scores, and a new housing aid fund.
