09:28 AM EST, 01/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rivian Automotive's ( RIVN ) joint venture with Volkswagen is in conversations with other carmakers about providing their software and electrical infrastructure, Reuters reported Friday.

"I'd say that many other [original equipment manufacturers] are knocking on our door," Reuters quoting Rivian's chief software officer, Wassym Bensaid, as saying in an interview.

Bensaid, who is co-CEO of the JV, didn't provide names of the interested carmakers or other details, the report said.
