07:33 AM EDT, 08/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Ryanair Holdings' ( RYAOF ) group chief executive officer, Michael O'Leary, criticized Boeing's ( BA ) new management for ongoing delivery delays, saying that the Irish airline may only receive 20-25 of the 29 planned 737 MAX aircraft by next summer, Reuters reported on Tuesday.
The airline received only five of the seven aircraft scheduled for July and expects just five of ten for August, Reuters quoted O'Leary as saying in an interview.
"Boeing ( BA ) have had significant production problems. We think they're getting to the end of that," O'Leary said.
O'Leary said the smaller MAX 7 certification will most likely be delayed until early next year, and it is unclear whether the MAX 10 certification will be completed by early next year.
Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
