08:28 AM EDT, 08/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ryanair ( RYAOF ) is witnessing strong demand in Europe and the airline is "reasonably optimistic" about hitting its targets for the summer, Reuters reported Thursday, citing an interview with CEO Michael O'Leary.
"We're seeing strong bookings through the peak summer months ... The fares are holding up," O'Leary told Reuters.
According to O'Leary, bookings are up about 1% compared with a year earlier, the report said.
O'Leary said that meeting summer targets would depend on close-in bookings for the remainder of Q2, the report said.
O'Leary added that Boeing ( BA ) , which was scheduled to deliver the last 29 aircraft of the airline's current order of 737 Max jets in the winter, agreed to deliver seven jets each in August and September, the report said.
