12:32 PM EDT, 04/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Safran is set to receive conditional EU antitrust approval on its $1.8 billion bid for RTX unit (RTX) Collins Aerospace's flight controls business, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The European Commission's decision is conditional on Safran divesting its electromechanical actuation unit in the US to mitigate competition concerns, the sources told Reuters.
Safran agreed to offload the unit in December to US aircraft parts manufacturer Woodward, Reuters reported.
The Commission, Safran, and Collins Aerospace didn't immediately respond to comment requests from MT Newswires.
