04:53 PM EDT, 10/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Salesforce ( CRM ) told customers Tuesday that it will not meet ransom demands from hackers alleging to have possession of stolen client data tied to a third-party app breach, according to an email cited by Bloomberg News.
The company reported receiving credible intelligence that the hacking group ShinyHunters intends to release data stolen earlier this year via SalesLoft's Drift app, which integrates with Salesforce ( CRM ), the report said.
The incident affected multiple Salesforce ( CRM ) customers but did not compromise Salesforce's ( CRM ) core systems.
Most stolen data included customer contacts, IT support information, and some access tokens; Salesforce ( CRM ) disabled all SalesLoft integrations, including Drift, in August following the breach, it added.
Salesforce ( CRM ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
