04:20 AM EDT, 07/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sanofi ( SNY ) is close to deciding on an investment of between 1.3 billion euros and 1.5 billion euros ($1.40 billion to $1.61 billion) at a key production site in Frankfurt, Germany, where it manufactures insulin, German newspaper Handelsblatt reported Monday.

Sanofi ( SNY ) initially considered moving certain insulin production to France but eventually settled on an upgrade of the German facility, the report said, citing German government sources.

Sanofi ( SNY ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
