11:47 AM EDT, 10/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- SAP (SAP) will scrutinize its relationship with government reseller Carahsoft Technology after the FBI and US Department of Defense investigators searched Carahsoft's Virginia offices last month, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing SAP Chief Financial Officer Dominik Asam.
The raid has "nothing to do with SAP," Asam said in an interview, adding that "we need to scrutinize that partner," referring to Carahsoft, Bloomberg reported. "There are still business activities running, and we have to be absolutely sure that we can rely on a clean partner," the report quoted Asam as saying.
The raid is related to "an investigation into a company with which Carahsoft has done business in the past," Bloomberg reported, citing Carahsoft spokesperson Mary Lange.
Carahsoft didn't immediately respond to a request for comment on Asam's Tuesday remarks, according to the report.
