04:42 AM EDT, 10/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Shell (SHEL) is facing a lawsuit filed by Russia's Prosecutor General against several of its subsidiaries, Reuters reported Friday, citing court documents.
The lawsuit, filed in Moscow's Arbitration Court, targets eight of the company's units and was initiated by Gazprom Export, Russia's energy ministry, regional authorities from Sakhalin island, and the Prosecutor General's office, according to the report.
Additional details on the lawsuit were not disclosed, Reuters said.
Shell declined to comment when contacted by MT Newswires.
