Sep 16, 2025 5:32 AM

08:12 AM EDT, 09/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Shell (SHEL) will have a legal case heard by South Africa's top court on Tuesday in the latest round of a legal battle pitting environmental activists against the energy giant, Bloomberg reported.

The Constitutional Court in Johannesburg will hear two days of arguments from both sides over activist opposition to Shell and a local company's offshore drilling exploration near South Africa's Indian Ocean coast, where whales are frequently spotted, the report said.

Shell did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
