01:21 PM EDT, 06/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Spirit AeroSystems ( SPR ) is set to transfer all or portions of operations from four of its plants to Airbus as part of a deal that includes restructuring with Boeing ( BA ) , Reuters reported Tuesday, citing industry sources.

Airbus will acquire plants in Kinston, North Carolina; Northern Ireland; Casablanca, Morocco; and Saint-Nazaire in western France, the report said.

Spirit AeroSystems ( SPR ), Airbus and Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.

Spirit AeroSystems' ( SPR ) shares fell 6.5% in recent trading Tuesday.
