07:02 AM EDT, 08/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Spirit Aviation's ( FLYY ) Spirit Airlines unit is mulling strategic options after its recent financial restructuring fell short of putting the airline on a sustainable track, The Wall Street Journal reported late Friday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

The budget carrier has hired PJT Partners ( PJT ) to explore options and is also working with FTI Consulting and Seabury Airline Strategy Group, according to the report.

Spirit Airlines, PJT, FTI, and Seabury did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.

Spirit Aviation's ( FLYY ) stock was down 15% in recent Monday premarket activity.
