06:22 AM EDT, 03/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile ( SQM ) is in talks with four Indian state firms seeking to buy a 20% stake in its two lithium projects in Australia for $600 million, Reuters reported Friday, citing four sources.

Khanij Bidesh India has teamed up with Coal India, Oil India, and ONGC Videsh to acquire the interest in SQM's Mount Holland and Andover projects in Western Australia, according to the report.

SQM, Khanij Bidesh, Coal India, Oil India, and ONGC Videsh did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
