03:08 PM EST, 11/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Starbucks ( SBUX ) posted a US sales day record during its annual Red Cup Day on Nov. 14, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing an internal message.

On the day of the promotion, which offers a free holiday cup to customers who order a seasonal beverage, the number of people visiting Starbucks ( SBUX ) stores rose 42% compared to typical Thursdays, the report said citing data from Placer.ai.

Starbucks ( SBUX ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
