Market Chatter: Starbucks Scheduling, Salary Payments Disrupted by Ransomware Attack
Nov 25, 2024 1:18 PM

03:45 PM EST, 11/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Starbucks ( SBUX ) cafe managers are manually calculating employees' wages after a ransomware attack on a software vendor disrupted the scheduling and pay management system, the Wall Street Journal said Monday, citing the company.

The outage at U.K.-based Blue Yonder, a unit of Panasonic that provides supply chain software to retailers, began late last week, the report said.

"Keeping our partners whole despite the outage continues to be our priority and we're ensuring they will receive pay for all hours worked," Starbucks ( SBUX ) said, according to the report.

Starbucks ( SBUX ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
