08:57 AM EDT, 08/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Starbucks ( SBUX ) has shortlisted about a dozen potential investors, including private equity firms and technology companies, for the next round of an investment process for its China business, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Among those invited to participate are private equity firms Boyu Capital, Carlyle Group ( CG ) , EQT AB, FountainVest Partners, KKR (KKR), Hillhouse Investment, and Primavera Capital, along with tech giants JD.com ( JD ) and Tencent, the report said.
These shortlisted parties will be granted access to Starbucks' ( SBUX ) China financials, Bloomberg said.
Starbucks ( SBUX ), KKR and Carlyle declined to comment to MT Newswires, while JD.com ( JD ) didn't immediately reply to a request for comment.
