06:41 AM EDT, 10/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) is close to securing Italian government approval to sell a majority stake in robotics firm Comau to One Equity Partners, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing a source close to the matter.

The report added that the government would likely grant conditional approval for the deal, which would see One Equity acquire a 50.1% stake while Stellantis ( STLA ) retains 49.9%.

Stellantis ( STLA ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
