Market Chatter: Stellantis Plans to Produce More Ram Pickup Trucks in Mexico
Oct 17, 2024 1:20 PM

06:59 AM EDT, 10/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) is planning to build its Dodge Ram 1500 pickup trucks in Mexico, the Wall Street Journal reported late Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Such a move could hurt relations with the United Auto Workers, with whom the automotive conglomerate recently signed a labor agreement promising to invest in US operations, the report said.

Stellantis ( STLA ) has been expanding its existing factory space in Mexico, the Journal reported, citing satellite images.

The plans to make Ram pickups in the space may change, the report said.

Stellantis ( STLA ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
