07:17 AM EST, 12/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Stellantis ( STLA ) has opted to retain 1,100 employees slated to be laid off at an Ohio Jeep factory, Reuters reported Saturday.

The company announced the layoffs last month but has changed course following the exit of its former Chief Executive Carlos Tavares.

Stellantis ( STLA ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
