04:05 PM EDT, 10/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Summit Materials ( SUM ) has been approached by Quikrete Holdings with a possible takeover offer, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the situation.

Quikrete is working with advisers to pursue a bid that may or may not lead to a deal, the people told Bloomberg.

Neither companies immediately responded to MT Newswires' request for comment.
