Market Chatter: Super Micro Computer Plans to Increase Server Production in US
May 26, 2025 11:57 AM

03:15 PM EDT, 05/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Super Micro Computer ( SMCI ) plans to increase server production in the US to meet rising global demand for artificial intelligence, The Wall Street Journal reported late Tuesday, citing an interview with Chief Execute Officer Charles Liang.

The company is considering expanding production in states such as Mississippi and Texas as an alternative to high-cost Silicon Valley, the report said.

The US faces hurdles in bringing back manufacturing, citing cost and workforce concerns, Liang said, according to the report.

Super Micro didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
