06:31 AM EST, 12/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Suzano (SUZ) is exploring an offer to acquire Clearwater Paper ( CLW ) , Bloomberg reported late Thursday, citing unnamed people with knowledge of the matter.

The deal by the Brazilian paper company to buy its American counterpart, which has a market capitalization of $409 million, has yet to be finalized and the proposition could fail, Bloomberg reported.

Suzano and Clearwater did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
