07:39 AM EDT, 08/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing ( TSM ) plans to market its trade secret registry system among its suppliers and partners in the US and Europe, Reuters reported Thursday, citing the company's associate general counsel Fortune Hsieh.

The company wants to educate its suppliers and partners on better trade secret management to encourage innovation, according to the report.

The system, which Taiwan Semiconductor began building in 2013, has been adopted by 20 local firms, including ASE Technology ( ASX ) , and contained over 610,000 cases as of July, Reuters said.

Taiwan Semiconductor shares were down 1.3% in recent premarket activity Friday.
