03:55 PM EDT, 10/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) employees working at the automaker's German Gigafactory near Berlin are accusing the company of firing a member from the facility's works council because of his union affiliation, Reuters reported Monday.
"This dismissal is yet another attempt to intimidate IG Metall workers at the plant," the German union said in a statement cited by Reuters. The company has been using "aggressive tactics against all those in the plant who are working together for humane and fair working conditions," IG Metall said, according to the report.
Tesla did not immediately return a message from MT Newswires seeking comment on Monday.
