Market Chatter: Tesla Operations Chief in India Resigns
May 26, 2025 4:22 AM

11:36 AM EDT, 05/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla's (TSLA) top manager in India, Prashanth Menon, has left the electric vehicle company after nearly nine years, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Menon has been board chairman of Tesla India since a first local office was established in Pune in 2021, and most recently has been leading efforts to open Tesla's first showrooms in Mumbai and Delhi, the report said.

Tesla is expecting to use its personnel in China to now oversee its Indian operations, the people said, adding that an immediate successor has not been named.

The automaker did not immediately respond to a request from MT Newswires on Thursday.

TSLA shares were up 4.3% in recent trading.
