Market Chatter: Tesla Receives Roughly 600 Orders in India Since Launch
Sep 2, 2025 1:36 AM

04:24 AM EDT, 09/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) has received orders for only more than 600 vehicles in India since launching sales in that market in the middle of July, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The tally is short of the electric vehicle maker's own expectations, the unnamed sources told the news outlet.

The company now intends to ship 350 to 500 vehicles to India in 2025, with the first batch scheduled to land from Shanghai in early September, Bloomberg reported, citing the people.

Tesla didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
