Market Chatter: Tesla Seeks Apple's Help to Prove Driving Accident Was Caused by Distraction
Apr 5, 2024 6:25 AM

09:02 AM EDT, 04/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) is seeking technical help from Apple ( AAPL ) to prove at an upcoming trial that a former employee of the iPhone maker was playing a video game while driving a Model X when he crashed and died, Bloomberg News reported Thursday.

Tesla is still disputing with the family of Walter Huang, an engineer who died on a drive to work, on whether the EV maker can depose an Apple ( AAPL ) engineering manager for a two-month trial set to start next week in San Jose, the report said.

Neither Apple ( AAPL ) nor Tesla immediately responded to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
