03:54 PM EDT, 05/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) has settled a lawsuit regarding the death of a passenger in 2016 in a crash involving a Model S, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

This marks the second instance in two months that the electric vehicle company has avoided a jury trial in California regarding a fatal accident that involved its Autopilot, Bloomberg said.

Details of the settlement weren't disclosed.

Lawyers for Tesla and the passenger didn't immediately respond to Bloomberg's comment requests.

Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
