01:14 PM EDT, 05/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) is shifting Senior Vice President, Automotive Tom Zhu to China, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday, citing a person familiar with the matter.

Zhu's transition comes at a time when the company is struggling with business in China as Q1 sales declined despite overall 15% growth in electric car sales, the report added.

Tesla did not immediately respond to MT Newswires request for comment.
