07:30 AM EDT, 06/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) plans to use Thursday's strong support for Elon Musk's $56 billion pay package to persuade a Delaware judge to uphold his 2018 agreement, Reuters said late Friday, citing the company's board president.
The legal battle to validate Thursday's vote could begin on Friday, as the approval alone doesn't settle the lawsuit, Reuters said.
Tesla board chair Robyn Denholm said in a letter to shareholders on Friday. "We intend to put it back in front of the court in Delaware to ensure that your voices as owners of our company are heard," according to Reuters.
Tesla did not immediately respond to Reuters request for comment.
