Market Chatter: Tesla Working With Baidu to Update Driving Assistance System in China

07:43 AM EDT, 03/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) is working with Baidu ( BIDU ) to update its advanced driving assistance system with accurate mapping information in China, Reuters reported Thursday, citing two sources familiar with the matter.

According to the report, sources told Reuters that Baidu ( BIDU ) had sent engineers from its mapping team to Tesla's office in Beijing to work on the integration of Baidu's ( BIDU ) navigation map information with Tesla's Full Self-Driving software.

No financial details were disclosed.

Tesla and Baidu ( BIDU ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
