07:24 AM EDT, 07/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA)'s June sales fell for a sixth straight month in Sweden and Denmark amid a rise in competition and a decline in chief executive officer Elon Musk's popularity, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing data from research firm Schmidt Automotive.
Tesla registrations declined 64.4% in Sweden and 61.6% in Denmark in June from a year earlier, the report said.
On the other hand, Tesla registrations in Norway saw a 54% yearly jump in June, with Model Y registrations increasing by 115.3% year on year to 5,004 units after the company began delivering the car to customers in May, the Reuters report said.
Tesla has suffered six straight year-on-year losses in quarterly new registration volumes across Western Europe, with Q2 of this year looking like it could be a consecutive seventh, Reuters reported, citing the research firm.
"While the regional battery electric vehicle market is growing, Tesla is shrinking," Reuters quoted Matthias Schmidt, an analyst from Schmidt Automotive, as saying in an email.
Tesla did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
