01:42 PM EDT, 05/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- T-Mobile US ( TMUS ) and Verizon Communications ( VZ ) are in talks to carve up U.S. Cellular (USM) in separate transactions, The Wall Street Journal reported.

T-Mobile's deal would see the company purchase a chunk of U.S. Cellular for more than $2 billion, The Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

A T-Mobile deal could be struck as soon as later this month, while a Verizon deal is expected to take longer or might not happen, the people were quoted as saying.
