Mar 13, 2025 11:23 AM

02:08 PM EDT, 03/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, national security adviser for the UAE government, plans to visit Washington, D.C., to discuss easier access to artificial intelligence technology and investment in the US, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Al Nahyan will meet the US government officials, likely with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz. It's unclear if he will meet with President Donald Trump, the report added.

The UAE is eager to buy advanced semiconductors, particularly from companies like Nvidia ( NVDA ) , to support its growing artificial intelligence development, the report added.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
