01:41 PM EDT, 06/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- TotalEnergies (TTE), RWE, and Orsted are planning to participate in the upcoming German offshore wind auction starting Monday, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

This round, offering up to 2.5 gigawatts for development, includes price submissions, according to the report.

RWE and TotalEnergies will bid through a Netherlands-based joint venture, recently approved by the German government, Bloomberg reported.

The German government has reportedly scheduled another auction for Aug. 1, offering 5.5 gigawatts.

TotalEnergies, RWE, and Orsted did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
