04:25 PM EDT, 03/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- TotalEnergies' (TTE) renewable energy assets in Portugal are attracting interest from Abu Dhabi-based Masdar, which is exploring the acquisition of an undisclosed stake, Reuters reported Friday, citing three people with knowledge of the matter.

A Masdar spokesperson told Reuters the company does not comment on market speculation but is looking for opportunities in the region as it expands toward its global target of 100 gigawatts in capacity by 2030.

TotalEnergies and Masdar did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
