03:41 PM EDT, 03/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- TotalEnergies (TTE) expects to resume production at its refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, slightly more than a week after the facility was shut down while the company worked to fix a leak, Reuters reported late Monday, citing people familiar with its operations.
The company had expected to return to full production soon after completing an overhaul at the 238,000 barrel-per-day in mid-January, according to the report. Those plans were sidetracked, however, by a series of problems, including an plantwide power outage in January, malfunctioning sulfur recovery units, and a leak in its fluidic catalytic cracker unit on March 8.
TotalEnergies did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires on Tuesday.
