02:36 PM EDT, 08/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- TripAdvisor ( TRIP ) investor Palliser Capital is urging the company to explore options, concerned that TripAdvisor's ( TRIP ) legacy business is weighing on its performance and eroding shareholder value, Bloomberg said Tuesday, citing a letter sent to the company's board.
The London-based investment firm wants TripAdvisor ( TRIP ) to form a strategic committee to explore a range of issues, including how to unlock value from brands like Viator and TheFork, according to the report.
Palliser, which holds a 1.1% stake in TripAdvisor ( TRIP ), is also calling for a review of the company's employee incentive program and capital allocation strategy, Bloomberg reported.
TripAdvisor ( TRIP ) has also attracted interest from another activist firm, Starboard Value, which has built a 9% stake in the company and wants to work with the management to maximize value, the report said.
TripAdvisor ( TRIP ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
