Market Chatter: Trump Administration to Consider Pharma Advertising Crackdown
Jun 17, 2025 7:30 AM

10:08 AM EDT, 06/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Trump administration is discussing policies that would make it more difficult and expensive for pharmaceutical companies to advertise directly to patients, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Banning pharma ads outright may leave the White House vulnerable to lawsuits, leaving the administration to focus on creating legal and financial hurdles to discourage the practice, the report said.
