10:30 AM EST, 01/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The Trump administration has withdrawn a proposed ban on menthol-flavored cigarettes and cigars, Bloomberg reported Friday.

The proposed ban was officially marked as withdrawn in a regulatory filing earlier this week, according to the report.

Shares of British American Tobacco ( BTI ) were advancing by more than 1% in recent trading, while Philip Morris International ( PM ) shares (PM) were up 1%.
