04:02 PM EST, 11/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Trump Media & Technology Group ( DJT ) is negotiating to buy Intercontinental Exchange's ( ICE ) cryptocurrency trading platform Bakkt, the Financial Times reported Monday, citing two people with knowledge of the talks.

Trump Media and Technology Group ( DJT ) is looking for an all-share purchase of Bakkt, adding that Bakkt's cryptocurrency holding business will not be part of the deal, the people reportedly said.

Neither Trump Media and Technology Group ( DJT ) nor Intercontinental Exchange ( ICE ) immediately responded to MT Newswires' requests for comment.

Shares of Trump Media & Technology Group ( DJT ) were up 15% in recent trading.
