03:58 PM EDT, 04/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Trump administration officials are considering a new exporter tax credit for US companies to counter retaliatory tariffs, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people familiar with the deliberations.
The credit, which would require congressional approval, would be issued at the end of the year to manufacturers and service exporters, the report said.
Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent haven't been briefed formally on the plan, the report said.
The White House didn't respond to a request for comment, Bloomberg said.
